Bouncing speedo

ive been looking at several Clios recently and every single one has had the same problem where the speedo is not settled and instead bounces around the whole time, obviously this is a common problem

Has anyone got to the bottom of this, and is there an easy or cheap fix?

by the way I have just bought a 1.4 RT Auto and it also has this problem

yea is a common problem, a little bit of oil or greese down the speedo cable will sort it, or a new one.

i just havnt borthered doing mine yet.

p.s. the speedo will steady out over 40/50mph

Everyone has this prob mate it goes after 30mph no big issue - unless you are a perfectionist! My mate had a 300bhp pulsar gtir and the speedo didnt work full stop - now thats a problem!
