Brake advice for 182

  Black 197
Hi all i been in contact with K-Tec in regards to new discs & pads all round, they have recommended these :-

Front :-
http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1148

Rear :-
http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1574

Is anybody using this setup and how does it compare to say standard discs ? I dont track my car so would be for road use only, Now i will need them to fit them for me as dont have the required tools (long story) but they have quoted me £50 + VAT for front fitment and the same again for the rears..

Is £100 + VAT for fitting discs high ?

How about Rentech ? I've checked there site but see no products is it best to call mike and see what he's got to offer ?

Thanks guys input will be appreciated

Id go for some brembo HC or max discs mate. The HC's are around £65 for the pair iirc. If you can source the parts seperatly you should save a few quid and i think you can find somewhere cheaper for the fitting if there's no way of doing them yourself

the rears need bearings pressing in do they not?

In the link to the rear brakes K-Tec state the bearings and abs rings are already pressed/fitted so shouldnt be a problem i hope

I been K-Tec before so maybe a chat with them and my membership card on there desk will shave a few pennies off ? Need em doing bad as im on original discs and its showing 43K on the clock lol

If thats the case then surely it would be worth spending the £100 on a jack and some tools to fit yourself?

drilled = pointless

the fronts are a bit pricey to be honest, you can get brembo HC and DS2500's (the best all round pad there is IMO) for the same money

rear go stock OE stuff

and fit a set of braided lines, that's one of the best things you can do to the car
