It's not a great idea to mess with brakes if you don't know what you are doing.
Do you have the anti-squeel shims fitted?

Exactly that. Just make sure the pad is covering the part of the brake pad the piston presses against.Is it a case of cutting the pads to the shape of the pads and use the grease to apply the them to the back of the pads

I use them for 4 pot brembos which dont have that metal shim bit.Have you not used these before then? Well according to your post you have. What have you done in the past just left them on?
