Brake caliper gap

There is a gap between the two parts of my break caliper that wasn't there before the pads were changed. Is this normal?

1. Take the wheel off.
2. Apply light
3. Take assorted pictures.

CC.

{Edit} LOL. I know what it is ...

LOL mate - it looks quite simply as this.

Thats the caliper wrapped around the pad carrier. As the pads have worn down the caliper has got closer and closer to the pad carrier - making it seem as though they were together.

Now you've fitted new pads the gap has re-emerged.

I might be wrong, i don't think I am - without further pics anyway, but it looks perfectly fine.

I'm guessing your brakes work? lol.

Yeah the breaks work. I kinda guessed it was that.

U know how it is though when u see a new gap that wasn't there before!! :)

I got new disks and pads so the gap is probably even further highlighted by the fact that everything is new!!

Cheers

Yup, I know what you mean matey :) Hehe. If you have any major concerns you could always ask a local garage to confirm its ok. Piece of mind and all that. :)
