Brake Disc screws

Am I right in thinking the 2 screws that retain the brake disc are purely there to stop it falling off when you take the wheel off and under driving conditions the disc is secured by the 4 wheel bolts? I am changing my front discs and one of the screws isn't moving for love nor money so i'm thinking it's gonna get some drill treatment in a min! Shouldn't cause a problem only having one should it?

Cheers

Cheers, thought so as my old fiesta had stupid little washer things to do the same job. After you'd taken them off once and put them back on you might as well have stuck them on with chocolate! All sorted now and new discs on. Still get slight steering vibration which i thought was being caused by the discs, but its not as bad now so might just be wheel balancing now. Any ideas o what else it could be? Thought it was discs after i put a new set of ballanced wheels on and it shook like a git at 70, ad did with the old ones too.
