They will definitely fade on track unless you drive like a fairy. Obviously they'll also fade on the road if you drive like you're on a track.
Most seem to favour the ds2500. I may give them a try for my next outing. Carbone Lorraine are immense. You'll boil your fluid and melt your calipers before they will give up IMO. Noisy though. The only thing putting me off ds2500 is they don't appear to be much cheaper, and you apparently need to file them to fit. Worth a shot though.

Yeah they do say that. Although I didn't have a problem. Sealed my rims beforehand. The CL pads were gone after one day, but the discs looked new (Brembo Max).
Roy, you need to stay away from Rockingham 
At the Fcs show my front pads (yellow stuff at the time) took a real battering, at least 1/2 there friction was worn away and the heat generated turned them brown.
I'm now running PF 97's, they are in a completely different league, no fade what so ever at Cadwell and enabled me to brake 50 yards closer to the turn in than the Yellow stuff did.

Knows. FCS wasn't even the full International Long. Much higher speeds through turn 4 on the full circuit. I actually bent the backing plates on the Carbone Lorraines (piston side). That's how hot they got. They still didn't fade though

It's too early too tell, i've only done 120 track miles with them so until i've done a few more it's hard to say anthing about the wear.
As for the cost, i got mine for £120 inc delivery although i think there normally closer to £140, Fred's the man to speak too, he very highly recommends the pads and he also supplies them at a good price.
You won't believe just how quick a clio can stop with them fitted

standard calipers still or 4 pots?
Roy, i think there pretty much the same in terms of braking performance, as i've not tired the CL's i can't speak from experience.
Jonny, just with standard calipers, there's no need for 4 pots on the mk2 clio, i reckon i could brake just as good if not better than someone running 4 pots, at Cadwell recently i was out braking someone with 4 pots, but that could be down to driver commitment.

You fellas should try the Mintex 1144s too. Ideal compound for track and road, good from cold, and very good at temperature. I (and many others) rate these alongside the DS2500. To add to it, they are cheaper to boot.

i was also advised this from sideways danny last year. Went for the ds2500s, but 1144 will be the next one's i'm going for. Will keep you in mind though pete when the time comes
