Brake grinding sound

  Oyster Card
You know that sound heard usually in the morning when you first apply the brakes, sort of like the pads are grinding the sh*te off and what have you.

Well everytime I start up after a little break I get this sound, for the first few brake appliances, after that it goes away.
Anyone know what it is and why it's doing it?

New front pads last month, f**k knows about the shoes lol.

Well, I know on my Mk2 Ph2 the discs just get rusted up really quickly, they'll do it overnight easily in this cold damp weather. I usually just let it sort itself out but a good jump on the anchors soon gets rid of the noise.
Everytime I wash now it I have to go for a drive to dry the brakes out otherwise they have a tendancy to bind on, don't have any problems with either when the weather is warmer.
