Brake Pedal Causes Dash to Illuminate??

As title whenever I brake the dash illuminates as if I have switched the lights on. Only started happening today. I assume its a bad earth somewhere? Any ideas where to check to first?

check the connections to your rear lights,
the plug that goes into the bulb holder has a reputation of corroding and shorting,
causin some funky electrical fauls,

i had the standard fog dash light coming on,
and the trip screen dimming as though id turned the lights on when i was breaking lol

give the connection a clean up, and perhaps some vaseline should sort it

All sorted it was the earth wire on the drivers side rear cluster.

the thought of a ph1 in pain brought tears to my eyes lol

LOL shes tip top again now apart from needing a clean. I may treat it tomorrow!!
