quick question will the calipers & discs from 182 fit 172 thanks searched but found no threads

Yep . Same discs and calipers on the 172 as the 182 .

Is this the same for phase 1 172, ie. do they all use the same front brake calipers as well as the rears?

Yep all 172 and 1782 share the same brakes.
