Brakes and suspension

  182 Trophy
Hi, I've just got myself an 03/53 172 cup and want to take it on track, but I'm concerned about the capabilities of the brakes under track conditions. Any advice? I'd rather not go to a full blown kit with 4 pot calipers, but am probably looking at a big disc kit such as one of the top 2 here from Hi-spec:

http://www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk/conversions.htm

I have used Ferodo DS2500 pads in the past and found them faultless. Does anyone have experience of them on a Clio, or with standard discs? Does anyone one run braided hoses?

Secondly, to what extent is the standard suspension adjustable, in terms of ride height, camber and toe? I'm guessing front camber and toe only? Has anyone played with setups for track use?

Thanks.:)

Standard pads arn't bad I know people who track on them you have to remember hard driving will kill thme but it deepends hwo hard you are.
ds2500's plus good fluid will sort out any fade issues if you do get any new braided line and fade still and your realy hard on brakes so 4 pots and brake ducting are what you'd need but there are few people who would ever need to go this far.

  EK9 + Mfactory gearing..
as edde says, super dot 4, PF97 pads are awsome if you dont mind the dust. if you like plenty of adjustment then coilovers are the way to go.

Didn't see the second question.
The stock setups got little adjustment realy in it you cna get camber correction bolts which give you some camper control at the fornt and toe in cam be chnaged the back has no normal adjustment.
People have fiddled about for track up with coilovers which have more adjustment options the back Yozzasport and Renault Sport (for the cup racers) have produced soem shims for the camber adjustment.

Thanks for the Yozzasport link, looks like they could have some reasonable stuff. Was Going to talk to some of the Clio cup racers in the new year, as i work on a certain race series along side it.
Thanks.

HNY!
