Brakes for Williams...

  BMW Z4 2.5si Sport

Right, my Williams needs new discs and pads front and rear to get through the MOT..... Ive already got some pads for it... Ferodo DS2000 for front, and red dot for rear..... Im prob gonna get some std spec rear discs - poss from BB with the bearings already in them...?

What do u suggest for the front? Prob gonna go with some grooved ones... Which are best, and wheres best to get em from price wise??

Pls help. Want to get the parts asap now, cos Willy2 WILL be back on the road ASAP :)

got pagid grooved on the rear of mine.......but plumped for brembos non grooved/drilled at the front.......ferodo pads on the front, rouland or summat on the back

As Raiderman says , go to Rally Design and just get standard group"n" vented discs . Grooved and/or drilled are generally crap and not recommended for fast driving especially if you take it on track .

Spent fortunes experimenting with discs , pads etc and found the group"n" discs far better than anything else available in 256mm size .

IMO they dont, I warped my std ones (this is a 1.2 16V BTW!!) it uses the same discs as the willy/valver and R5 pads

Its horses for courses, ive tried these cos theyre cheap (retail is over £100 for em, my mate sparkie works for French German and Welsh car parts)

They feel much better than the std ones, and i like em

remember you dont need "the best" this and "the best that, just what ever does the job and youre happy with

The standard ones.. cost me £66 for front discs and pads.. and they stop the car perfectly.. heh.

i got the grooved dicsc(rear) as part of a deal, and the brembos were £60 wi pads......cheaper than o.e and they work fine.
