I've got Brembo Max Disks and EBC greenstuff pads, everything works fine untill i start to get heat into the the brakes and work them hard then they vibrate, and make a horrid droning type noise, any ideas?
I wear out the mounting bushes on front calipers every 40-45,000 miles - which allows the smallest amount of movement of the caplier when everything's hot, giving a rumbling noise which sounds like what you're getting?
I'm not technical, Mike at Rentech does all that for me.
What I do know is that the grumbling noise I get from my brakes after 40-45k miles is cured by fitting a new or low mileage replacement set of calipers.
Yes he means the slides which the caliper guide pin screws into, i'm yet to take a set to pieces that hasn't got play in at least one of the slides. And for some reason one is usually fine and the other is slack as fook, the slide kit is £36 a side from renault (last time I checked) so a new caliper probably isn't that bad an idea tbh.
