brakes squeaking

I was wondering what would cause breaks to squeak!
they only squeak when you brake light, they do not do it when braking hard, if you do a emergency stop and get the brakes hot they stop squeaking for a wile, then come back but not as loud. any ideas?

Prob just need some copper grease. Its quite normal for a squeak to happen at light braking and not full.

I had my pads out the other day and forgot to put some copper grease on the passenger side and am now regretting it lol...

my back one squeek drives me carzy but cant do anything about it as they are on drums at the rear

Take the pads out and clean the carrier/saddle wi a wire brush to remove any build up on brake dust.. Copper grease and put back it! Should sort them.!

p.s. dont put the copper grease near the discs or the front of the pads! Or you wont stop anymore!

Its just like the guide on the forum for the 172 brakes.
There will be a guide soon when i fet down to finishing it.
Its very easy though.
