Brakes under warrenty??

  Focus ST
Had my car a few weeks now (3 to be exact), since picking it up I've gone back because the drivers rear shock was gone. Replaced under warrenty, nice. Then Sunday I was travelling from London to Birmingham. At a service station thought I should check the oil, basically I haven't since picking it up. Only to find that the was no oil even on the dipstick  .
Bought some oil from the garage, filled it up. The following day went to the local renault garage in Sutton Coldfield, they didn't want to know (read post under dealers). Eventually Renault in Enfield called them, got a mechanic to check it, he informed me that the head gasket has gone  .

Well I dropped it off said it would be ready for thursday, but your drivers front disc is badly corroded. To replace both disc and pads both sides £290. NOT COVERED under warrenty  .

This raises a few questions for me:

1) Was the 25 point check done before I bought the car??
2) Was the 25 point check done when I had the shocks fixed??
3) Warrenty doesn't cover general wear and tear, but this corrosion (cars only done 10,300 miles).

What should I do?? Complain or just pay for the dam brakes (over-rated that they are).

  Cup 172
I bought my cup when it was two eyars old with 13k miles. Bought it private. I knew when I bought it it needed new discs and pads on the front, cos it had been stood for 6 months and they were badly corroded. Took it to my local dealer, told em it had been parked for 2 weeks, they rang reno uk and they agreed to contribute the full cost for the discs and labour, meaning I only had to pay for the pads... Result.

If they really are that bad and they're still nice and thick, find someone with a lathe and get them to give them a quick skim for you :D That should cost you near to sod all. Hope it's all ok when you get it back after that run with no oil!

Tell them you want a refund or the problems fixed FOC. If it was purchased from a dealer and not privately, surely they have a duty to provide you with a road worthy car. After a few months ownership they could claim wear and tear but not after 3 weeks.

Failing that, ring Renault UK.

Lol, do you drive round with the H/Brake on?

Sounds like you had serious binding going on. The rears do fcuk all really and should have lasted a lot longer. Mine, after 27k are still just about ok and thats after several trackdays and trips the Nurburgring. I'd get them checked out so they dont ruin this pair.
