Braking Noise

Can anyone help? Every now and again my brakes seem to grind when coming to a halt, but it doesnt happen all the time. Ive checked the discs and pads and they are fine. Any ideas what this could be please? :S

the same happened on my r19 16v i fitted new pads and cleaned all the sliders that stopped it..
hope this helps...

get some decent pads stev and clean it all up - you can fit them yourself so cheap as chips! come over mine and well paint your calipers the same time

Well peeps, this morning my brakes welded themselves together! Turns out Ive got williams dicsc and renault 5 gt turbo calipers, so its all sorted now!

^^^^ So where the discs catchin' the calipers slightly causing the grinding noise ?

nope, the pads on the inside were down to the metal and therefore melted. I checked the outside ones and they looked fine but couldnt see the inside ones!

so bog standard 16V brakes then...

nope^^^^ The williams brake discs are approximately 6mm bigger then the standard 16v brake discs, and the 16v calipers do not have turbo stamped on them like the 5 turbo ones do!!!
