brand new clio owners

anyone who has got a clio on finance have you ever checked the small print on it?

i was lookin at mine b4 and it has a part on mileage it is something like, if you do more than 10000 miles per year you have to pay 6p per mile over that 10000 per year. so if you do 15000 miles per year you have to pay 6p for every one of them 5000 miles.

GETS!!

its the same for all finance deals like that and also on hire cars, its due to the minimum value at the end of the three year deal, i think they give you £3500 based on 10,000 miles a year but if they didnt someone like my dad who does 40,000 a year could hand it back with 120,000 and get £3500 for a car which probably would be worth £1,000

its all made clear when you sign up, well it was for me. My cup will be lucky to see 8k a year. In fact ill probably put more than 8k worth of petrol in it lol

Ben, dont get smart.

Being funny is neither big nor clever, it may be humourous but thats not the point.

He stole my name, I wanted to be Chris H but no I had to be Chris_H, damn underscore.

The mockery of my name is not funny, Im going to cry no, no dont say your sorry, I dont...want...to...hear...it...

Mines the same, you agreed the mileage with the dealer when you bought it. The charge per mile only comes into play when your 3 years are up AND you decide to give the car back, if youve gone over the mileage limit (mines 30k in 3 years) then they charge you 6p per mile. If you decide to pay the car off completely or trade it in for another Renault then it does not matter. Hope that clears it up for you and stops you panicking a bit!
