Branded air filters vs ebay ones?

Going to buy a cone air filter for my dci65, also buying a heat shield and running a cold air feed. I can pick up a ebay cone airfilter for like £10 and the same with the heat shield, but the k&n air filter is like £60. Is it worth the extra money?

IMO I would say go for the brand that every one recognises like K & N or pipercross. With these at least you know they've been tried and tested.

As above, but would it even sound good on a diesel.

I'd just get a panel filter personally.

Some people on the dci forums say it sounds pretty nice, might aswell give it a try.

When I took a broken air feed off of my old Corsa diesel, it just made the thing iritatingly noisy.

I swear even moving tractors heard me coming.

It soon get replaced, the embarasment was far too great
