Morning sports fans! A little update for the weekend!!
So who can remember these rather shitty looking brembos?
Well as promised they've had a little bit of a revamp!!
They've been spot faced where the bolts tighten down to, machined 2.5mm on the base to allow for a 295mm disc and also had a small lick taken off the face where the brembo sticker goes. This was done to just give an extra bit of clearance, mainly for the superleggeras.
I had them all blasted back to bare aluminium and gave them a good dose of etch primer. After that it was time for a splash of colour!
VERY pleased with how these have turned out. You may recognise the colour from earlier on in the thread as its the same colour that's on the block and gearbox casing. This was thanks to @not normal dan being a total legend and suggesting the theme!!
Picture doesn't do the finish justice tbf - trust me, there's a lot of shine on these. They've had a dose of high temp lacquer to seal the brembo stickers and make them a bit more hard wearing.
Next up we have tyres. Of the sticky variety....
I've been waiting for these to hit the uk for quite a few months now. I've opted for the new R888R in 205/45/16. I was originally going to get the kumho v70a's, but with all the hoo ha about the tyre labelling horse s**t, I decided on these as they're e marked and road legal - just so happens that works out ideal for a bit of TF action at the Nurburgring.
More to come.
