Cheers mate! Yeah they will look loads better now for sure. I have a filthy desire to paint the calipers AG too. I just don't feel that the red works! 🙈

Well it's time for another little update! Ever since I've owned the AG I've never been happy with the condition of the speedlines. The inner barrels of the wheels were still satin black - the original wheel colour, and there were a couple of paint runs on the edges of the spokes. There were also a few stonechips on the rears from the addition of the spacers. The fronts had seen some kerb grazing at some point in their life and been flatted back/filled. Now this was just me being a picky fucker! It was time to feed my OCD. Lol!
I took the wheels to my local wheel refinisher and left them with him to do his work. He popped the tyres off and ran the rims up on the balancer to check for any issues. They were all given a thumbs up, so they were dropped in the acid bath to strip them back to bare aluminium. That's where it got interesting! Lol! 2 of the wheels had seen some pretty intense kerb action and been filled. These were sent away to be welded to build up the damaged area, then linished back to the correct shape.
Here's a couple of pics to show the quality of the work carried out:
Proper! This was the worst wheel for damage, and as I'm sure you can see, it's perfect! I also decided to paint the centre cap diamonds AG, which I think works rather well! Oh and yeah the cup 2's are now fitted. Can't wait to get the wheels back on and scrub the tyres in!
Before the wheels are refitted, I'll be giving them a couple of coats of wheel sealant and also fitting these:
I ordered a full set of ds2500's from @George@RTR_Parts - awesome price and service as always mate!
I also have a powerflex gearbox mount insert to fit.

We are back in the game.
Original system is off the car and uncut, so easy to return it back to oe. Akra will be fitted at some point soon - can't say when as I don't know when I'll have the spare hour I'll need.
Might even throw the GoPro in and get some footage

Well I've pretty much promised @Sunglasses_Ron that we will be flat through Craner curves and sideways out of the old hairpin, so I guess it's had a redemption.
I've made steps towards making a few alterations in my life in terms of work, so fingers crossed things take a turn in a better direction. One of those may well involve driving ///M cars..
