Brembo discs + pads 1.2 16v

hi, it has come to thtat time where i need new discs and pads. i would like to go for some drilled or grooved 1s, as they look cool,= and help with braking a lil bit. ive only got a 1.2 16v, so the cars not that fast, but i would like some decent brakes. just wondering whats the cheapest place i could get a set of brembo pads + discs? or any other make that you recomend? cheers

btw the car is a 2003 1.2 16v dynamic billabong

stick with standard setup mate. the standard fit renault brakes are very good anyway even on the 1.2.

mine seem quite bad, but is that due to the pads and disc being worn? i was going to change them for the look aswel.

Could just be due to wear and old fluid.

Replace the disks, pads and fluid and you should find the brakes are very good. If your still not 100% satisfied then you might want to try fitting some braided lines to firm up the pedal feel.

If you want to change the brakes for cosmetic reasons then look at the brembo max disks. I have these on my 182 along with some ferrodo premier pads and halfords dot 4 fluid lol. They do work very well though.

Id go with the lines first and if your still not happy uprate the pads and then agasin if your still not then go for the discs aswell the standard ones are fine

Change the fluid for new stuff then stock pads and disks
I like the fdb 845 pads £17 ish from Halfords etc you don't need any more on a 1.2 realy.

brakes are designed for a 150bhp car so they are fine! if you want a bit more bite then some decent pads but if i was you id save your money and go for standard disks and standard pads (or standard disks and EBC greenstuff pads are a good combo if you dont like brake dust!)

if you want "cool" looking disks then Brembo MAX are pretty cheap

if your looking for brembo disks and/or EBC pads give FOS Performance a call on 01786 450222 and tell them martin told you they could sort you out ;)

ye, there mainly for look. anyone recomend any place that can fit/supply them in the hampshire area? cheers
