Brembo OE pads?

Hi all.. im needing new brakes soon and i was shown some Brembo HC discs and pads for the front at a total cost of 66 quid delivered!

I was planning on HC discs and then DS2500 pads but im just wondering if they are really worth the extra money?

Ill be doing a few trackdays this year but mostly just road use.

Thanks!

Have a search mate, this gets covered a fait bit and has done recently.

You can do a track day on a good quality oem pad from the likes of Brembo etc , but you have to bear in mind they are not going to perform as well or for as long as the more track focused pads like the ds2500. Obvious really as they are not designed to.

IMO track days are for having fun so I'd personally spend extra on brakes then i would tyres like r888 for example. I'm not chasing seconds here and there so fine on decent road tyres but like to know if anything happened in front of me I could bring the car to a halt pretty quickly
