Sorry to dig up an old thread.

I've got myself some 225 Brembos, I plan on running a 280mm under 15"s. So just to confirm what I need to machine off is 5mm as pictured in the above photos and obviously the correct bracket kit for a 280mm set up?

Another question is, I will be getting them refurbished, now logic says, machine first before refurb?

Correct. I've got a brand new pair of brackets and bolts available if you need some.
