Fred,how much has he guy spent on this car so far,i imagine the budget for having a toy like this is a lot???

Just done a quick search and found some dealer costs,obviously a specialist will be a bit cheaper.
8-20mpg with an expected average of around 15 if you don't rag it everywhere.
Oil Service £2-300
Inspection I £500-900
Inspection II £750-1200
Those prices are main dealer depending where you are and presuming nothing else needs doing.
The warranty comes in 3 tiers now from just the driveline to fully comp. plus you can choose the excess you pay from £250 a claim through to no excess. Starts at around £500 a year for the most basic with big excess, and goes up to around £900 for full cover with no excess. Then when the car gets over 60k miles the prices go up.
One thing though, you can not take out the warranty once it has slipped, not like with porsche, you can't take it in and have the multi point check and then take the warranty out, once it has passed that is it. Also, if you buy priavtely with a warranty that is fine, if you buy from a dealer other than BMW the warranty becomes void, obviously that does not include the manufacturers warranty, but you need to make sure if you buy one with the extended warranty that the original owner can transfer the warranty over to you.
Oh, and expect to loose another £800 a month till they are sub £20k's in todays climate, other than that they are awsome cars...
