Bubbling rear wing.....what should I do

The driver side rear wing has some bubbling under the paint and a bit of rust that has broken through the paint. I obviously want to sort this out asap, but i cant afford to have the whole panel taken off and re-sprayed. A friend reckons it is a small enough are to have re-painted and blended into the old paintwork.

Is this a reasonable suggestion, where should I go to get it done, and how much should I be looking to pay? I take it Renault will want comedy prices again???

I got a quote recently for some bubbling on my rear arch. To rub down, treat the area, and spray (blending in) was about £130. Remember that if the rust has gone through the arch it will cost a lot more!

Cheers Jas, that sounds a pretty reasonable price. The rust just seems to be sandwiched between the paint and the rear wing hence why I want it sorted as soon as possible!

Boys,

I got my arch sorted. It looked the same as you described. It ended up needing a new arch welded on. This cost £100 all in. Its only a little less if it dont need a new arch. Its done by a mate who does bodywork. Nick Read saw mine after it had been done and he was well impressed!!

If you interested having it done i will post the mates number. He is in Essex area
