Buckets

  Civic Em1, Civic Eg4
Fancying some buckets for the car now since my front seats have had there day really, rips nd just general wear. Was wondering what bucket seats would fit into a mk2ph2 non-sport without any huge jobs and would be comfy for driving everyday and able 2 slide forward to let people in the back and stuff

  RS RIP
any chair will fit, the subframes need to be bought to suit the car. I have sliders on there yep. Some of the buckets you can get with a reclining posibility but if weightloss is the thing you're after then you should get fixed buckets. I bought mine mainly for weightsaving and for a good part because the oem seatposition was'nt doing my back any good (i'm 6foot3) so the buckets in combo with a deepdish steerwheel also got me a nicer postion behind the wheel .

I aint really looking for weightloss really, just like the look and feel of some buckets, but i would want them to do everything the standard seats do. (slide, recline, let people in the back easy etc.) and then also comfy for everyday use as i have read some arnt so comfy for daily driving only good for on the track

Well normal 'bucket' seats wont recline, they will be able to slide if you get subframes that work with Renaults runners.

I dont think bucket seats are what you are after, I think something like Trendlines are more up your street.

Recaro Trendlines, they are the optional 'sports' seats that can be fitted to RS cars.

I had them, really good for road use, but not very good on track. But they are expensive to buy, even second hand!

Cobra daytonas for cheap.

Cobra misanos for a bit more.

Recaro trendlines for alot more.

All require Clio subframes.

How much would a set of subframes be then?
And were abouts would the best place be to get them?
isit much of a job fitting these type of seats and subframes?

Cobra Daytonas for cheap
Recaro's that are the same as the Renault ones (from an Evo 5/6). Also cheap, ie £350. So many fools on here that pay a grand for Trendlines

These are from an Evo 9, they cost about £350 + subframes at £150.

Trendlines are probably one of the most over rated things on here. Who pays £1000 for seats because they match the interior, when £500 will get you some chairs that work so much better!?
