Not had a PC in nearly 10 years now so well out of the loop, but I fancy playing a few games that are PC only.

Budget in around £800, would probably stretch to a £1000 for something nice. Only looking to use it for gaming. Not bothered about fancy bases with lights etc. Must have Win 7 NOT 8!

Yep, Intel are completely storming AMD at the moment with the i-series

Yeah, I'm a massive, unashamed pathological AMD fanboy and haven't owned an intel chip since my 486 but even I can't recommend an AMD processor if you're building a gaming machine. It keeps me awake at night but it's the truth.
