I noticed in that guide a thin brush is used for the lettering. Some folk do use touch-up pens I think. You might be better off with the brush though. I'd imagine you have more control.

Halfords = fail! for paint matching and quality.

you can get some made up at many places. I got some made up at halfords as i didnt know before and had a perfect colour match, but heard some people have had dreadful matches too.

its probably cheaper to send it to SHameless172, paint and lacquer aint exactly really cheap. And takes a lot of patience with them

by the time you weight up what it will cost you to get the paint, plastic primer, clear then yeh. Also it wont be 2K durable stuff like ill use, it will be 1K or clear coat, which just wont last the same. 1k halfords stuff is really only any good for interior stuff, its just not hard enough for external stuff and has very low build qualities, so you need many coats.
