850 T5. mmmm Turbo!
Hello.
Well yesterday was my first track experience other than a few laps on the ring in a battered 1.4.
i had the company of mike, who does this sort of thing abit more often so was able to point me in the right direction.
i did no prep work to the car, it has 3 different tyre makes on it and apart from my rattling decat the car was standard.
My first impressions were pretty good, i thought the car handled as well but no better than i had found out on the public highway. I was able to see how long the car was able to maintain those speeds and that wasnt quite the full 17 minutes of racing we eventually got in (thanks mr trophy)
That brings me onto trophy's, i have to say i never liked them because of thier ride height, but i know theres a reason for that so i let it be. so im expected to be left by the 3 trophy's infront of me.
i wasnt, of the 2 that managed to stay on track i passed them both.
although i understand that its down to driver too so i guess its no real test. i was just abit disapointed with them.
i was impressed by the k tec turbo. thats FAST!
Nothing overtook me which i was happy about.
so heres the video.
firstly, sorry to all that takes track days serious, i understand its very technical, but i didnt have the time to get decent lines established in my 30 min slot, so i thought f**k it ill just go for it.
secondly i was shouting at the people infront, which i now realised i shouldnt have been cos its not a race, so i have edited them out.
thirdly the video was 16 mins long so i have had to split it up for youtube.
the first part is pre trophy accident.
the second is the rest of the session.
enjoy.

thanks to mike and eveyone who moved aside to let me by. really enjoyed myself. i think the flashing red dash lights mean that BUP enjoyed herself too.
