buxz new clio 172 exclusive owner

hiya everyone
newbie here looking for some advice. basically ive just bought number 134 of 172 of the 172 exclusive its quite a nice model with full service history 58,000 miles spotless bodywrk and interior, however there is one thing bothering me.
id read about the cambelts being 72,000 miles or every 5 years so i checked the book and it was done last year at 51,000 miles, this is stamped in the service book.
the thing that worrys me is there is no mention of the aux belt being done and ive read if this goes then sometimes the cambelt can go with it,ouch.
is this true?? if the cambelt was done would they have done the aux belt as a kit or not?? would there even be a mention of aux belt in the service book?? lol am i just being over paranoid?? :) just dont wanna mess this lovely car up :) any help much appreciated i was thinking of ringing the garage where the cambelt was done and ask them if they do the aux belts with the cambelt on renaults

i pick the car up this saturday should i be excited?? i sold my ford puma which handelled like a dream my insurance has gone down so i looked for a 172 and found this lovely example

no traction control though?? sureley thats mad in the wet?? the puma was great in wet or dry but it was 50 horses short of thye clio :)

If it was done on the cheap then chances are they just did the cambelt.

If it was me, i'd get the whole lot done again, just to be sure. I paid £300 for all of it inc parts.

iam gonna have to wait a month or 2 before i can do the aux belt as getting the car has skintted me out proper had to have one though :)

ive got a 3 month/3000 mile warranty so if anything happends in this time the dealer can sort the problem

surely they would have done it with the cambelt last year?? it just makes sense to do the aux while iam down here doing the cam saying that not all garages use common sense do they

was that 300 quid from renault?? maybe i could get it cheaper via a private garage i know?? its a few hours wrk though isnt it??

what about the 172 and the wet with original tyres and wheels and no traction control?? extra care needed?? nice 1

Ring the garage that did the work they should be able to tell you.
If you do get it done again, don't bother with Renault as they will probably mess it up. Your best off taking it to a specialist depending on where abouts you are in the country.

thanks alex will do mate i get it saturday :) my boss is even being a nice chap and letting me only wrk half the day i think he could see how excited i was/am

its completley standard at the moment and as its a limited model if i change the wheels to a nice set of 16s or 17s will this affect the car in a bad way at all mainly re sell price iam worried about but also car set up handling etc?? also if i change the stereo to a touch screen dvd player with 7" monitor surley this wont de value it will it?? or would people buying it in the future pay more for a standard 172 exclusive i dont wanna do anything silly to it just some nice alloys the bbs ones are ok but not great and a nice dvd player headunit with a sub and amp and nice 6x9s as iam an audio lover :)

i dont think the car needs much done to it anywyas thats why i bought it :) there just my personal prefernces and tastes

saying that if i can wire up an amp to the standard renault 172 cd player id be happy with that

is that possible to wire an amp to the standard stereo??
