Buying a 2nd hand exhaust

A mate of mine is selling me a magnex oval back box, of his 172 cup, im putting it on my mk2 ph2 1.2 8v, its the 2005 edition, would this fit straight on do you think?

dont think it will, IIRC the bore on the cup exhaust is larger then your 1.2 so will probly need a shim to make it a snug fit

these shims should be at most exhaust centres? right?

yeh they should be, i know a mate got one from motorworld for about a fiver, its guna have be a huge shim tho as the exhaust bore is hugely different, looks at the difference between yours and your mates cup you will be suprised

And it looks massssive, sooo big and chunky
do these magnex oval boxes always look like this?

yeah they are too big and heavy imo
