Buying a clio

  www.renparts.co.uk
Wanting to purchase a clio mk2 after writing off my e36 BMW compact. Im hoping to go for a 1.4 dynamique with climate control in black. What sort of price am i looking at? and is it worth purchasing from an auction? I would settle for a 1.2 dynamique.. Just wondering really. Wanting an 03 plate or newer and what things should i watch out for when purchasing? my BM was a 1.6i how will the 1.4 clio compare power wise? the BMW was fairly quick but not nippy due to its weight...
thanks

them beemas are slowwwwwwww lol, my last car was a E36 318i as you say the weight of them ruins it. don't know how much of a difference there will be in power to the clio, the clio will ceretainly feel nippier. handling may be a little better in the clio as the compacts had a dodgy rear suspension setup iirc. i personally wouldn't buy from an auction as i'd rather go private and have a thorough look around the car and a test drive. having said that theres always a bargain to be had at auction. think you'll be looking upwards of £3.5k for an '03 + plate.

yes your correct about the rear setup and the weight.. they simply don't pull.. Am i been realistic expecting a 1.4 dynamique with A/C for £5k or a little less?
