hi im looking in to buying a sport172 when i sell my car just wondering is there any think i should look out for like any general problems they may of had, also what is the general price of one 2001/2002 at a guess

Are u looking at a ph1 or a ph2? ph2 your looking at about 5k, ph1 your looking at around 3.5k for average miles cars

Check for accident damage particualy if its a Cup.

Check the clutch gearbox and all electics.

Engine quite bullet proof

As for price check auto trader there cheap at the moment.

Good Mk2 will probably cost around 6k...there are cheaper ones out there but not in great conditon/high milers

Got my 172 on a '02 plate with 48K for £5200 via fleebay.

Check underneath the car make sure you inspect the exhaust system and the drive shaft gaitors. Also make sure the jacking points arnt bent.
