CAD question

Righty then - i need to draw a Dormer window detail. It needs to be drawn face forward like an elevation.

Spec as follows: 3 No. skew nailed 47X150mm C16 trimmers to each side of dormer openings.
2 No. 47X150mm trimmers to top and bottom of dormer openings.
Timber flat roof to be 47X150mm C16 Joists, 2 No. intermediate supports to be provided by further 47X150mm C16 timbers.
Head of window to be formed by 2 No. 47X150mm C16 timbers, one located over window, one to internal side of window. Head timbers to be supported by 2 No. 47X150mm C16 timbers bearing trimmers to sides of opening.
Inner most support timber to provide 47mm bearing for head timbers, outer most run up to roof structure over.

WTF!!!!??!!! My boss is such a cnut - he just hands me the above and says 'draw it' - fcking stupid prikc.

Anyway - can ANYONE point me to a website where i can find a Dormer window detail that will help me draw this thing? Please - failing that - anyone want to draw it for me???!!

Lol - cheers

You'll need a guide to timber section sizes but apart from that you have all the information you need mate. It wouldnt be of any benifit to you if someone drew it for you either.

Unfortunately I dont have anything to hand that I can send you, just google it and at least find a picture showing what it is your being asked to produce

look at the proposed rear elevation. Shows you what a dormer is

yeah im an architectural technician and as far as i can see you have all the information to draw the dormer.

my first question to you is, do you understand what a dormer is!? stupid question maybe but if you dont then you will have no idea on what it is meant to resemble.

my second question would be, have you not got any other dormers on your drawings etc that you can nick and copy the principle over to your current drawing?

this is the prob - im still learning and ive never drawn one before - i just need to know how one is constructed so that i can put all the bits from the list together you see? Its a reet pain in the arse.

That linky dont seem to work either matey?
