Cadwell Park 27/04/2011 Pictures

The 200's second track day was yesterday at cadwell park. Was a very cold start but the sun came out to play around lunchtime!

I've been to cadwell quite a few times before to watch the superbikes but this was my first time on the track, and what a track it is - would recommend it to anyone and I can't wait to return.

Was running a set of R888's and seemed to be most happy running them around 28psi. Does this sound about right as I don't want to rip them apart!

Was a few other clio's there and also a lot of lovely vx220's!

Yea was a complete mess didn't look like a straight panel on it after, shame as well looked lovely - throttle bodies, perspex windows, carbon bits etc

Not 100% sure but from what I heard it was after charlies going onto park straight

Again not 100% sure, mates dad said what it was but forgotten now! Whatever it was it was pretty rapid although quite funny to watch going round a corner!

When I say that I mean the RB 182, blue williams and the silver 182.

There was also a silver 172 but didn't see that go on track?

Loved it mate, not done cadwell before so can't compare it with anything but it didn't put a foot wrong all day and seemed to be really planted

The blue car is an Austin A30 I think btw, any idea who the R26.r was? I was struggling though some of the day with my tyres as they were getting too hot it seemed and it was starting to understeer a bit too much. Other than that thw weather was great and managed to show some much bigger/boosted cars what for

I'm sure I'll be back there again this year.

Oh an yes the RB came off just after charlies, I think he'd possibly got it on the grass coming out and then proceeded into the tyres just before the decline ends on park straight. I'd just come round Charlies as they were stood looking on, and then it was red flagged.... again...

I remember that guy in the blue MG ZS V6 coming up to me and saying 'what you done to that clio?! i couldnt catch you for the life of me' to which i replied 'pretty much standard mate bar a filter and cat back'

He was running slicks but they didn't help, I've found you do get the odd one or two people come up and ask the same thing. They get the same reply, just changed to a panel filter and slightly sticky tyres.

Yeah it was a Austin A35 behind the S200 and it was rapid probably has a K series in it or a highlt tuned A series!

I was in the Red 197 with my mate Mike its his car that he is taking out to the ring in May so just wanted to see what it was like on track! He was very impressed!

to be fair the ZS's do handle pretty well even with that big ass V6. He binned it in January too. Left rear quarter was smashed.

Cadwell was first track session for the car after an extensive rebuild. Loads of development potential including tuning the standard base engine

Ford Sigma 1596cc (officially Zetec SE) from a rolled 2001 Focus. Base engine is standard but we've added Jenvey throttle bodies and 4-2-1 exhaust coupled to Suzuki GSXR 1000 cans. When the chassis is fully sorted, the engine will upgraded for more power
