Caliper paint or VHT

Anyone know what the difference is? Got some VHT matt black last night for the calipers, but its half the price of actual caliper paint. What makes it more expensive?

VHT paint stands up to a higher temperature I think, used more for rocker covers and manifolds.
Most people are using Hammerite on the calipers

I'm going to use it on my calipers/disc edges. But whats the actual difference? Is it just the fact that VHT is matt?

Don't think so, you can get matt in Hammerite too IIRC

just thought it was a bit strange that halfords charge twice as much for caliper paint when VHT is essentially the same.
