Calling all local people, and others (amp wiring)

  Racing Blue 182
Need to fit my amp wiring kit. I have searched the forum and it seem that i need to be useing the grommit under the glove box where the bonet release goes through. I cant do it lol

Can anyone local to me help?

I understand i need to push it through from the inside of teh car, but how the hell to i get it from the engine bay?

Help

Piece of piss, unclip the PAS resevoir from the bulkhead and feed it down behind the heat/sound deadening on the bulkhead. You'll want to feed it from the engine bay into the car though as the fuseblock should be under the bonnet and it wont fit through the bulkhead. Took me about 2mins in the dark so its not a tricky job.

Yup, i did the same as loony. Try taping the wire to a screwdriver or wire coathanger when pushing it through.

I just unscrewed the fuse holder and pushed it through from the cabin side and then reconnected it once the cable was through, is much easier imo and theres less risk of the grommet pushing out.

How big is the cable?, I managed 4gauge yesterday but don't think anything much bigger would fit. Takes a lot of brute force and ignorance though.

Depends what type of fuse holder the wiring kit has on it. Mine is a fixed moulded one and wouldnt got through.

Oh right, didn't know that non removeable ones existed.

  No more clio's for me!
I just feed some domestic wire (because its stiffer) through a gap in the bulk head. Attached it to the boot side of the amp wire and then pulled it back through, job done. Took a bit of jiggery pokery, but didn't have to unscrew anything ;).
