nearly every garage does state 5.5 -6hours

yet they did it in 4 hours

rushed job?

It can be done in 4 without rushing.

Thats doubtful - can I just ask how many 2.0 Clio cambelt changes you've done? It could be something totally unrelated!

Hey, I'm just saying, when mine was done wrong, it made a loud vibrating noise, exactly the same symptoms the op is having, just after the cambelt has been changed.

Yeah thats fair enough, where did you get yours done? Just out of interest.

C&G Autos in Bristol. Complete cowboys. The dealer I bought the car off took it there. I pretty much drove it straight down to RenTech to have it put right.

It was the exhaust vibrating ;)

Maybe the top mount was in a slightly different position hence the noise.
