Well spoke to swr in Falkirk who I have used before as have others on here and get a good rep, as I thought I'm looking at a grand roughly to get her fixed, my folks have offered to help, going to get the car to them, check the damage and I mentioned catcam 438's and removing air con with pure kit, I'm going to make the best if this situation, it's a cracking little car and I intend to make her better, I'll keep this thread updated.

Thats a total s****er mate But at least it sounds like your getting it sorted and upgraded at the same time!

On a side note, you get the exhaust fitted alright?

He did mate aye! I would of offered to help fit it but I had an exam the next day! but im sure he managed fine!

I'd prob charge about £150 - £200 labour and whatever the parts are on top. It wouldn't be silly money though, worth doing!

if they rebuild your current head, make sure the valve guides are replaced.

Ok mate I'll make sure it's on the to do list. They r picking it up on monday from my work. On a side note are u cheaper than ktec for the 438's bearing in mind I get 5% off with them?

i dont think you'll get 5% off the cams from Ktec's website as they are already at a discounted price.

Same price (as I buy these through them being a KTR exclusive) They're pretty heavily discounted from RRP (about £100) so the only real margins we make on them are from fitting
