Can Bilsteins be modded for cup equipped cars?

talking about B14's, thinking of elongating the hole, mounting on car with a washer on either side, and welding the washer in place.
any issues with this?

in theory, but you'd have to make sure there was lots of strength around the bolt holes.

sounds like a bigger job than just welding the washers.....
