Can cup suspension be fitted at dealers

  RS Clio 182

Hi, I am currently trying to buy a new 182 with cup suspension and have been offered a standard one which the dealer says he can fit the cup springs. I have heard that it is only possible to be done at the factory, but the salesman says they can fit it at the dealers. Is this correct?

It will cost a lot more to retro fit them and its not just the springs that make the Cup package. The car will need a geo to get the castor/camber/track correct.....the dealer is as per usual talking out of his ringpiece.

Cheers

Simon.

Its more than just suspension.

The front wheel bearings are changed for larger ones and the geometry is changed.

They could fit springs and adjust the cambe but the cup pack consists of a few more important bits

1) The different coloured tyres.

2) Different dampers.

They could do it but its a bit costly. You got get coilovers etc which would be better for the same sort of price Renault would change for just changing the springs and re setting it up most likely.

I didnt think it could be done. The salesman said that he could do it for £200 but the wheels would still be standard. He has offered the car for £11600. Will need to give it a miss then but cheers for the info/advice.
