Can i see your length and where it sits ??

Does anyone know where the correct position is for the throttle cable to sit in the engine bay on a mk1 172 ??

Anyone got any pictures of their engine bays to give us a clue ?

I put a new one on yesterday but its kinked back to the point of the inner core being visible which cant be good if its to last. (see below pic)

Got this picture below off a foreign site and the cable bends down a lot sooner than mine.

It's the same route as mine, although mine has started to rub on the padding from the bonnet and the black rubber is wearing away from heat and friction.

Does it really f**king matter lol, as long as it works.

Wild guess, if you got it off a foreign website, the cable goes to the other side of the car, so takes a different route
