Can I sort my ABS without getting a new driveshaft

  Clio 182
Hi,

Been having a problem with my ABS recently, keeps coming on randomly at any speed (light not coming on). Had it diagnosed just now and turns out the driver's side front ABS ring is cracked/broken. I've seen a couple of threads saying the same thing (http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=271403 and http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=402246&highlight=abs) and it seems you can get an ABS ring without getting a new driveshaft.

The garage has tried Renault and they say they don't supply ABS rings and that I'd need a new driveshaft which would be £195! A lot of money for a problem that doesn't seem critical. The garage reckons their usual supplier wouldn't have any either.

So, does anyone know where I can get a ring from? The garage says if I can get one then they can fit it.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers.

Yeah the guy said he could replace the ring if I could find one. I was hoping someone would know how many teeth the front ABS rings on a 182 have, can't believe it varies from car to car!
