Can these be amped?

Can the custom fit pioneer speakers be amped, as they dont have crossovers?

The ones i've got in my meg are amped and they're ten times better than when they were running off the headunit, i've made an adapter up to connect the amp back into the original speaker iso connector (know its not ideal at all) so to get around the wiring side of things.
