cant get 100mph in 1.2

im sad to say my car is unable to reach 100mph on any road at the moment and i have no idea why. i have air intake mods on my phase 3 mk1 clio but dont think that will affect speed and dont think its the wheels as i only have r14 185 60s on. it takes long enough just to get to 95mph anything more is like tryin to get blood out of a stone. 5th gear is flat as my ironin board, wot the f**k is wrong with me car, its doin me head.

Return the car to normal and keep your foot down. Sometimes air intake mods do more harm than good.

The 1.2 should do 100 though keep persaviering

Dont listen to that toss about 1.2s not making over 100. It should. My 1.2 16V does well over with ease and apart from an Ecotek it is completely standard. Maybe it needs a bit of tuning. Try Ecotek Power Boost. Its £9 per can, but it works a treat. See Speeding.co.uk for thathttp://www.speeding.co.uk

Good luck.

Got an indicated 120 MPH on the clock in my Mk2 Punto Sporting. Obviously there’s going to be a small amount of error with the speedo at the speed, but still not bad for a little 1200cc having 6 gears may help it a little. Still missing the 140MPH of my old 172.
