Hi all!
Bit of a long one this, so sorry in advance.
OK, driving along the other day and my cam belt tensioner broke, shattered the cover and all engine power died. Pulled in and it wouldn't start again. Called my mechanic and he has now fixed it and after replacing 8 valves and all necessary bits, he timed it up (he used the cam locking kit) and all was fine, but when I went to pick it up it idled very lumpy on tick-over. It still revved really strongly but I don't want to drive it as something doesn't seem right. It sounds like it has race cams in it and not idling like it was before. Would this be anything to do with the dephaser pulley, or are there any common solutions after a rebuild? Could it be timing out or have I broken something else?
Thanks for any suggestions!
