Carbon Lorraine's fluid

  182cup & 172 racecar
Is this on road or track
Do you have brake ducts
Do you have arch liners
Have you got a heatshield between manifold and cylinder
Are you using the brakes too much

All these need to be answered,or does it just boil stood on your drive?

Castrol super response is good stuff, and being Dot4 is less likely to absorb moisture.Dot 5 stuff will, but will be fine if changed and bled on a regular basis.

If you're so inclined, those pads will let you push hard enough to boil any fluid in the OEM callipers. You need to be looking at cooling. I boiled Castrol SRF around Rockingham, and had to take my arch liners and fogs out, as well as bleeding some new fluid through. The removal of the arch liners made a massive difference.

Won't be used for track this year now I don't think Haven't got any ducts or arch linings removed will look into doing that too

Haven't got any form of heat shield between the manifold and cylinder but I've been looking at making something up for there as I think it's in a daft place thanks for the replies also!

Hi Tony, I had'nt come across removing the arch liners before, does this make a big difference? I've already removed the fog lamps and cut a hole in the liner to let the air through, is it worth removing the rest of the liner? Also do i remove all the liner or just specific parts? Thanks, Mark
