Cars Back To Standard !!!!

Well after having an induction kit on it for a few months its back to standard now. dare i say that its quicker !?!?!?!

I have however stripped it as itll be getting a very good clean tomorrow providing the weather is ok. But i was out in it today and tonight and it pulls through the revs far better than it did before. It also handels a lot better. everything is 100 times lighter. The cold air feed (lol) is now stuck down where the fog light cover used to be and comes up to the mouth of the intake pipe. Only problem is i cant hear myself speak and have to have the music on like vol 45 !!!

Still slow as s**t though lol !


You rekon itd be worth getting some dynamique alloys and decking the thing ? r should i hold out till later this year and go get a 1.4 or a 1.6 ?

It is not cheap. £1500 TPFF...........but if in november i can afford to buy one and insure it at that price. i will do.

tbh mate some of the best fun you can have is a slow car with little grip! I loved my 1,4 8v and beleive me and the rest of the Scottish lot when I say it could shift! Only had 75bhp as well but you learn to use it and keep speed up so hopefully improves your car control and awareness which is absolutly needed before moving up.

I replaced it with a 172, wasnt muchfun, wnet back to 1.6 16v coupe which is only nippy!

i do keep the speed up its just on a long straight it can be frustrating. granted though. a road with some nice corners and some downhill straights and it can be fun lol. I just dont want to run the risk of going round a corner at 60 and finding another car doing the same thing and then crashing into him. because it happens, and ive been the many a time. times where i would have crashed if id been going faster than i was......

Well just as well you dont have a faster car then!

TBH thats bugger all to do with the car and all about the driver. On most things bar motorways I was never left behind by 172s on the road trips, having a load of power isnt the be all and end all

no but then 75 bhp downt exactly help either. 110 bhp would be nice.
