cat bypass emissions light..I've had an idea

  TVR Cerbera
I have a cat bypass pipe and have tried the disconnect route..no joy and i've tried the remove the lambda route and still no joy, the light is still on.

Right my idea is to put a resistor in line with the second lambda sensor based on:
the lambda sensor gives a voltage out (0.2 - 1volt). the ecu compares the 2 lambda sensors and if the second one is lower then no light(cat working= lower emissions). so if i can fool the ecu into thinking the second voltage is lower, a resistor, it should in theory work and put the light out.

Open for discussion please.

(p.s. do i need to reset the ecu to turn the emission, not ecu, light out? and if so how?)

Have you decatted your 182? Just plug the hole for the second lambda (an old one works) but leave the working lamda plugged in and cable tie it above the heatshielding so it reads 'clean' air.

Light will go out in a week or so :)

Go on ebay type in lambda spacer into search column then press buy it now when it arrives your problems will be solved
