Dunno about insurance prices on a Cat D...

but ask for pics of the damage if possible and also invoices/receipts from the garages that fixed it..

Will give you a little more peace of mind!

With all car prices going through the floor why buy a repaired one???

Get a mint one by haggling;)

I'd buy a straight one.

i want to but a straight one but im looking at 4k for the car and about 1.5k on insurance

just i thought it looked pretty well repaired for cat d damage, i will ask for the reciepts and invoices, just for 2400 i thought it was reasonable for has low milage aswell..

its either spend 4000 on a accident repaired including insurance on it
or
straight honest one for 5500 with imsurance..

im abit stuck here.

im not the best at hagling haha, i tried my luck in turkey in the markets doing that, didnt go down well when i said i buy a sly lyle and scot top for £3 haha!!

well it looks perfect from what i can see from the pics but a closer inspection i ite find uneven pannel gaps, but i wouldnt be able to tell if the chassis was twisted i dont think... any way of tell tail signs

or anything else i should check like steering to one side...

id be making a savign of £1500 all the more to spend on aftermarket goodies

AA Check on it.

Go look at it, if it looks ok to you, book the AA to come and inspect it, they'll give you a good idea of the condition.

it doesnt say what happend wether front end or rear. no details

i wouldnt mind spending 3500 on a cup if its a straight one...

if you're happy to drive it it's all good. just remember, buy cheap = sell cheap, so the4 car will still be worth less than the equivalent when you come to sell

hopefully another will come up if i dont snatch this one quick enugh untill i get back home...

never buy a cat d

i had one once never again ever

All depends on the damage, you have to really have a good look at the car your buying before making a decision, if its had a front end crash than its lightly it will never drive the same but a light rear end crash is no bother

thanks for all the advice guys and girls, i think im going to look for a straight cup, hopefuly one comes up soon enugh and il be buying it... next problem is getting insured on it ive read alot about insurance going tits up with people being made redundant and crunch time has made insurance rise alot....

will i have a problem?

tbh mate if the panels arnt straight it hasnt been a very good repair

has it just been repaired if it has been drivin around a while after the crash it will be ok but if its been selt straight after the repair you gota ask your self why
