well as the miltek centre section sounded like the baffles had gone, myself and luke at jabbasport decided it would be the sensible option to cut it out and weld a straight pipe in its place. as it needed a little cutting and welding anyway i remembered reading D4ve's thread http://clio-motorsport.blogspot.com/...ification.html so i decided i was going to do that too.
here is the cat and centre section before...
and here is the cat cut and welded (stainless welds) to a full 2.5" bore straight to the back boxes...
also while the car was at jabbasport, i had the inlets matched and painted. no before and after photos of the matching im afraid, neither do i have it on a rr. but the mid torque feels improved, and they look great imo.
so here they are...
and here is a quick vid of how the exhaust now sounds. miltek with modified std cat to 2.5" and centre silencer removed...
anyone intrested in getting matched inlets can contact jabbasport on 01733211779. they are very reasonable and have a very good/friendly bunch of staff and a great reputation in the vag world. i also spoke to them about a possible group buy on arb's as they make them for a range of vag cars. they need at least 20 people to keep prices down, guessing they will be about £200 (thats a guess for now). they are very high quality and can be made adjustable or non adjustable. they recommend non adjustable tho. im going to start a thread soon to drum up some interest, so keep your eyes peeled.
cheers for looking
